Sculpting workshop

I gave a sculpting workshop in Taos on the horse and wolf we worked with live models which is always the best. The students were great.

Roping in the finals.

Had a great weekend roping at the World Series in Jackson Wyoming with Roger Hollingsworth we won 3rd in the number 10 and a shootout in Las Vegas at the finals in December.

''THE BIG BULL'' bronze 9' height This is the first monumental sculpture I created. I started out welding the Armature together using oilfield pipe and rebar. I then covered the Armature with foam and carved it back. I next applied Clay to the foam and shaped the Clay. Then using the lost wax bronze casting process made the finished sculpture.

''ESSENCE OF REX'' I will be showing the maquette bronze of my T rex bronze 34'' in length at  the 2014 Stampede Western Invitational Art Exhibit and Sale. Starting June 25th thru July 6. I wonder what the response will be. If you are in the area please stop by. Over 40 artists from around the country will be featured, and more than 200 pieces of artwork will be showcased at the Event Center lobby at Island Grove Regional Park Greeley Colorado. The exhibit is open daily during the Stampede.
