My very first bronze sculpture from 1980 ''SPINNING AND WINNING''
My very first bronze sculpture from 1980 ''SPINNING AND WINNING'' I have never considered myself a self-taught artist, I have been a self-educated artist. I have learned from the books I read and from the experiences and mistakes I made. Benjamin Franklin had a great quote show me a self-taught man and I will show you someone who had a fool for teacher.cnavarroart.com

The thing I liked about creating art and rodeo is you get so mentally involved in doing it.
The thing I liked about creating art and rodeo is you get so mentally involved in doing it. That time goes by unnoticed and you are completely absorbed in the moment. When you love what you are doing the real reward is in the experience of doing it. cnavarro.com

''WHAT IS LOVED IS ALWAYS BEAUTIFUL''
You won't always remember what someone says and you might not remember what someone did. But you always remember how someone or something makes you feel.

Art is music for the mind
Art is music for the mind and just like in music when you
hear a song it will take you back to a memory or feeling. As a sculptor three
dimensionally I'm visually trying to capture the feeling and emotions so others
will remember that moment.

Michelangelo in my opinion is the greatest artist who has ever lived
Michelangelo in my opinion is the greatest artist who has ever lived. He passed away at the age of 89 in the year 1564. The average Italian man at that time in history had a life expectancy of 43 years of age. I believe the major reason Michelangelo had such a long and productive life was that he woke up every day with a passion and a purpose. My plan is to wake everyday with passion and purpose I see no downside to that philosophy.
